CHAPTER 1!
No POV
Sophie, Chloe and Ethan were on the bus heading to school. Suddenly, the bus comes to a halt as it stops outside of Ethan’s school. Miss Price, Ethan’s teacher’s assistant, stood up and went over to them to take Ethan as usual.
“Bye…” Ethan mumbled numbly on his way to the front of the bus. Once they were out of sight the bus started again. After a few minutes, the bus came to a halt once again.
Sophie’s POV
I lifted my head up to see that we were at the bus stop in Crouch End. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed two guys clamber onto the bus. I thought our school was the next stop…not the bus stop in crouch end…weird. I turned back towards the window and reached into my bag. My hand closed around my iPod nano and I pulled it out. I plugged my earphones in and the song One Less Lonely Girl by Justin Bieber blasted into my ears. A while later, the bus came to halt, again, and I jolted out of my seat.
“What the…?” I mumbled quietly to myself. Many of the people on the bus jumped up and ran out of the bus like wild animals. My sister and I, walked outside slowly as we heard people calling our names. Well…more like yelling our names.
“Soph, Chlo!” The voices screamed. We studied the area until our eyes rested on our friends. We ran over and immediately began talking.
“GUYS!!” a familiar voice screamed as I felt something hard bang into me.
“Oww!” I shrieked, surprised.
“Sorry,” the voice replied and I turned my head to see Aimee standing next to me with her fringe sticking outwards slightly.
“There ya go,” I giggled, after smoothing her fringe down.
“Oh, thanks,” Aims giggled embarrassed, “Anyway, guess what! I just finished talking to Mr Marks and he said that a few people are going to be picked out to go on a school trip today because he had secretly sent a letter home to the pupil’s parents that he had picked and he is going to read out who is going in assembly!!”
“Yay!” Scarlet replied sarcastically.
“Yippee! Can’t wait!” Leah said equally sarcastically.
On cue, the bell rang signalling everyone to go to assembly.
“Come on!” I said numbly.
IN ASSEMBLY
“So, on Tuesday I sent out a private letter to a few pupil’s parents that the head and I had picked out and today we are going to announce the pupil’s that are going,” Mr Marks announced half excited yet half…miserable?
“The first person going on the trip is... Jessica Brown!” Mr Marks said unhappily.

Jessica stood up, placed a hand on her hip and started blowing kisses at the boys with her other hand. As she sat down again she waved. Typical slut.
“Joining Jessica will also be… Jamie Warren,” Mr marks carried on grumpily.
“And, Scarlet Murray,” he continued.
“WHAT?!?!” Scarlet shrieked angrily. Uh oh!
“If I’m going down, you guys are going down with me!” Scarlet warned.
“With Leah Murray, Chloe Bessant, John Marlow, Stephen Marlow, Sophie Bessant, Jake Foyy, Chris Foyy, Aimee McGee, Aaron Jones and Cassandra Dots, “Mr Marks finished hurriedly.
FF ONE DAY
Scarlet’s POV
Today is the day; today is the day that my mum is allowing Leah and I to be taken on a school trip from hell.
“But the worst teacher EVER is taking us! He hates me! And JESSICA BLOODY BROWN!! I’m going to end up killing her! You know I will!” I screamed, furious that my mum didn’t give a damn.
“It will be good for you Scarlet. You will have fun!” Mum’s boyfriend replied calmly. SEE! It’s ALWAYS mum’s boyfriends that make the decision. They only want me to go so they can have some time to themselves! While I’m on the trip, mum’s boyfriend would’ve probably persuaded her to leave the country before I come back! Urggggg! I cant believe this!
FF TO SCHOOL
Leah and I got out of the car and slam the doors at the same time. Mum waves sheepishly and in response I stick my middle finger up at her. She looks hurt but I don’t care. IM HURT; I’m ALWAYS hurt! It’s always her boyfriends before us. Stuck-up cow! I hate her and I never want to see her ever again! The car screeched out of the school car park loudly and dissapearing round the corner. I turn around on my heel to see Leah entering the bus and i stride towards the bus ferociously. I walk on and see Chloe and Cassie sitting next to each other, Sophie and a guy sitting next to each other who I remember his name is Stephen, Aimee and Leah sitting next to each other, A guy called john and a guy called Jamie sitting next to each other, 2 twin guys sitting together who I remember as Jake and Chris and their friend Aaron at the back and annoyingly, Jessica Bloody Brown sitting on her own. I look around and notice that there isn’t a spare seat other than sitting next to her. Joy! I walk over to her and sit down roughly. Out of the corner of my eye, I see her edging away from me like I’m a piece of dirt. I glare at the seat in front me hoping for this trip to just be over really quickly.

Chapter 2
AT THE TRIP
SCARLETS POV
We were all walking into the ‘Luxurious’ hotel that we were apparently staying in with Mr Marks in the front. When we were inside, there was a chorus of bags falling onto the wooden floorboards as everyone let them go. I looked around glumly and couldn’t believe I had to stay there. The walls were pale green- almost grey- and the curtains next to the small windows were yellow with pale green polka-dots on them.
“Bogies,” Jamie sniggered as he looked around. Mr Marks glared at him.
“Right, since there are 13 of you and 3 rooms it should work perfectly as 2 rooms have 4 beds and one the rooms has 5 beds. I will split you up,” Mr Marks explained.
“What?! YOU split us up!? No way! We can choose ourselves!!” I replied furiously.
“But,” Mr Marks started, “if I let you all choose then it will be friends with friends, however if I choose then everyone will be mixed and you will get the chance to make new friends instead of sharing rooms with the people you normally hang out with.” Everyone looked around at each other wondering who will be in each room, one thing was for sure- no one wanted Jessica sharing a room with them.
“In the first room, there will be Aimee, Chloe, Jamie and John,” Mr Marks started, “in the 2nd room will be Sophie, Stephen, Leah and Chris and in the 3rd and final room there will be, as you can probably guess, Scarlet, Cassandra, Jessica, Jake and Aaron.”
Leah looked over to me and saw the anger written all over my face. Lightly, she nudged Sophie and they both looked over at me with pity on their faces. Why is it that I have to be the one to share a room with the wicked witch of the bloody west!? I was speechless. I didn’t dare open my mouth as I knew I would scream. Mr Marks looked over to me, waiting for me to say something. Instead of making a noise, I just glared at him. I will get him back for this, and he won’t even see it coming!
LATER IN THEIR ROOMS
Bored, I sat down on my uncomfortable bed and laid down, thinking of my comfortable, king size luxurious bed back at home. At first, I thought sharing a room with Jake, Aaron and Jessica would be like sharing with 3 Jessica’s…but it isn’t, Jake and Aaron are actually sort of alright. Jake isn’t afraid to have a laugh and even though Aaron is really quiet, he doesn’t do anything to bother me. Cassandra is crazy. For over an hour, Cassandra has been sitting on her bed just staring at Aaron the whole time! It’s so weird. SWOOSH! As fast as a mental rabbit, I turned my head to see Jake with no shirt on. He wasn’t looking at me; instead he was trying getting his shirt the right way instead of inside-out. I felt myself begin to stare but I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him. As he turned his body towards me, he began searching through this suitcase, however, his new position only made me stare more as I had a full view of his abs. I felt myself blush but I just continued to stare.
“Hey Scarlet, I know, don’t you want me SO bad?!” Jake joked, finally noticing that I was clearly checking him out. At last, I managed to tear my eyes away and look up at his face.
“Psh, you wish!” I replied, biting my lip and turning my head away. Cass was grinning at me hugely and I just winked at her in response which made her gasp. I began laughing but tried to cover it up as a cough instead, but sadly I wasn’t fooling anyone. I stopped coughing and turned back to Jake.
“Sooooo, whatcha doing?” I asked casually.
“Looking for a towel and trunks, there’s a pool round the back,” He explained, “Now if you excuse me, I’m going to put my trunks on in the bathroom where there wont be a certain girl, I wont mention a name, staring at me,” Immediately, I felt myself blush again as I turned away. A pool… perfect. I picked my suitcase up and put it on my bed, searching through it. After I found my bikini, I laid it out on the bed next to me. Cautiously, I looked around to check that no one was looking and after I had made sure, I pulled my shirt off. Unaware of the bathroom door opening, I unclipped my bra and slipped it off. I felt a pair of eyes on me and without looking up I knew it was Jake- and now he was the one staring. Perfect. I picked my bikini top up and slipped it on. Carefully, I reached back and pretended I couldn’t reach to clip it up at the back. I slid my skirt down and my underwear with it. I felt Jake’s wide eyes staring at my ass. I smiled slightly to myself and I pulled my bikini bottoms up. After pretending to pat my hair down, I turned around.
“Oh hey Jake, could you help me clip my bikini top up?” I asked casually.
“S-sure,” Jake stuttered and walked over to me. I turned around and felt his cold hands on my back as he clipped it together.
“Thanks,” I replied and smiled at him. I reached into my suitcase and grabbed my red towel and my flip flops, noticing that Jake and I were the only ones in the room now.
“Come on,” Jake said and we walked out of the room.
AT THE POOL
“Hey guys,” I started as I walked over to the girls, “guess what happened when I was getting changed!”
“What?” they replied eagerly.
“Jake walked in and he was SO checking me out!” I gushed.
“Well, he wasn’t the only one checking someone out…” Cassandra hinted and grinned at me, “Scarlet was STARING majorly when Jake took his shirt off! You should’ve seen her!”
“Aw, my sisters got a crush!!” Leah began teasing and squeezed my cheeks.
“No I haven’t!” I argued, pulling her hands away from my face.
“Well, looks like he is still checking you out…” Aimee smiled, looking past my shoulder. I turned my head to see what she meant and saw Jake staring at me…again.
“Hey guys watch this…” I said and stood up, walking over to the guys.
“Hey guys, what are you all talking about then?” I smiled, winking at Jake in the process. Jake looked down embarrassed and all the guys noticed.
“Just talking about a certain girl who Jake has a crush on!” Chris chipped in eagerly.
“Oh really, do I know her?” I asked half-jealously.
“Guess you could say that,” Jake mumbled with his head in his hands..
“What does she look like Jake?” I asked and noticed that the guys had looked towards him now as they obviously didn’t know who it was yet either.
“Well,” Jake started, “She has red ketchup coloured hair with corkscrew curls down to her elbows, most people would call her a bad girl, and she is sexy, cute, daring…”
“LEAH?!?!” I screamed. JAKE was in love with LEAH?! My TWIN?! Why?! What does she have that I don’t?! Were twins for god sake! I marched off without a reply and sat down next to Chloe, glaring at Leah.
“What?” Leah cried confused. I didn’t answer. I just continued to glare at Leah.
“I’ll be right back…” Leah said and stood up.
“Like we care!” I snapped, furious. Leah looked hurt by my snappiness but I didn’t care. She hurt me! Slowly, she turned away and began walking over to the guys.
LEAH’S POV
I don’t get it! What did I do? She has never been so mean to me before. We have never had an argument.
“What did you guys say to Scarlet? She is really angry at me for some reason…” I asked suspiciously. The guys exchanged grins and Jake was the one to reply.
“Scarlet thinks I love you,” He stated simply. EW! Wait, why was she so angry at me then? A grin spread across my face as I understood.
“Jake, do you like Scarlet?” I asked cautiously.
“W-w-well…” Jake stuttered speechlessly.
“Because she loves you!” I answered quickly.
“Really?” A grin spread across his face and I knew there was love there. Pleased, I turned around and happily skipped off still grinning.
LATER ON
“Silly girl!” I teased after I had explained everything to Scarlet. She looked really pleased and we were both grinning wildly.
LATER IN ROOM 3 (lol)
SCARLETS POV
I walked into my dorm, still grinning wildly, however I stopped immediately when I saw something lying on my bed. Looking closely, I walked over to it. Standing next to my bed, I realized it was a letter. Picking it up, I opened it slowly, wondering what was inside. Suspiciously, I looked around. After realizing no one was there, I unfolded the letter;
To Scarlet,
I have planned a special evening (wow I sound really gentlemanly don’t I?) and I will pick you up at 6. I guess you could call it a date so dress up…not literally.

I smiled to myself and ran out of the room to Leah’s room. Strangely, Leah wasn’t in there so I went to Sophie and Aimee’s room instead. When I was outside the door, I knocked frantically till the door opened to reveal Jamie.
“What?” He replied in a mono tone.
“Where are Sophie and Aimee?” I asked ignoring him.
“In there,” He replied waving a hand towards the bathroom door and walked off. Confused, I walked over to the door and opened it.
“AHHHH!!” Soph, Leah and Aimee jumped when I opened the door. Immediately, Sophie, Leah and I began laughing so much that we nearly peed ourselves!
“What’s so funny?” Aimee asked, completely oblivious as to why we were laughing so much. Unable to point, I turned her towards the mirror and she gasped in shock as she noticed the red line of lipstick across her left cheek.
“So, what are you doing here?” Sophie asked after we eventually stopped laughing.
“Well, I’m going on a date tonight,” I answered grinning wildly again.
“SERIOUSLY?! With Jake?!” Leah screamed happily.
“Course, who else!” I replied equally happy.
“Come on then, let’s go get you ready!” Aims said as she pulled me towards the door.
After racing through the corridor, we finally got to my dorm and we ran in mentally to find Cassandra and Chloe in there. After explaining what we were doing, I was dragged over to the coat hanger on the wall next to the door.
“What are we doing?” I asked confused after Chloe threw my jacket at me.
“We are going shopping of course!” Cassandra replied.
LATER ON BACK IN ROOM 3 WITH THE GIRLS
“And now, may I present the beautiful…SCARLET!!” Leah announced whilst everyone else was on the bed, apart from Scarlet and Leah, of course. Moving aside, Leah revealed Scar looking amazing for her date.

“Like we care!” I snapped, furious. Leah looked hurt by my snappiness but I didn’t care. She hurt me! Slowly, she turned away and began walking over to the guys.
LEAH’S POV
I don’t get it! What did I do? She has never been so mean to me before. We have never had an argument.
“What did you guys say to Scarlet? She is really angry at me for some reason…” I asked suspiciously. The guys exchanged grins and Jake was the one to reply.
“Scarlet thinks I love you,” He stated simply. EW! Wait, why was she so angry at me then? A grin spread across my face as I understood.
“Jake, do you like Scarlet?” I asked cautiously.
“W-w-well…” Jake stuttered speechlessly.
“Because she loves you!” I answered quickly.
“Really?” A grin spread across his face and I knew there was love there. Pleased, I turned around and happily skipped off still grinning.
LATER ON
“Silly girl!” I teased after I had explained everything to Scarlet. She looked really pleased and we were both grinning wildly.
LATER IN ROOM 3 (lol)
SCARLETS POV
I walked into my dorm, still grinning wildly, however I stopped immediately when I saw something lying on my bed. Looking closely, I walked over to it. Standing next to my bed, I realized it was a letter. Picking it up, I opened it slowly, wondering what was inside. Suspiciously, I looked around. After realizing no one was there, I unfolded the letter;
To Scarlet,
I have planned a special evening (wow I sound really gentlemanly don’t I?) and I will pick you up at 6. I guess you could call it a date so dress up…not literally.

I smiled to myself and ran out of the room to Leah’s room. Strangely, Leah wasn’t in there so I went to Sophie and Aimee’s room instead. When I was outside the door, I knocked frantically till the door opened to reveal Jamie.
“What?” He replied in a mono tone.
“Where are Sophie and Aimee?” I asked ignoring him.
“In there,” He replied waving a hand towards the bathroom door and walked off. Confused, I walked over to the door and opened it.
“AHHHH!!” Soph, Leah and Aimee jumped when I opened the door. Immediately, Sophie, Leah and I began laughing so much that we nearly peed ourselves!
“What’s so funny?” Aimee asked, completely oblivious as to why we were laughing so much. Unable to point, I turned her towards the mirror and she gasped in shock as she noticed the red line of lipstick across her left cheek.
“So, what are you doing here?” Sophie asked after we eventually stopped laughing.
“Well, I’m going on a date tonight,” I answered grinning wildly again.
“SERIOUSLY?! With Jake?!” Leah screamed happily.
“Course, who else!” I replied equally happy.
“Come on then, let’s go get you ready!” Aims said as she pulled me towards the door.
After racing through the corridor, we finally got to my dorm and we ran in mentally to find Cassandra and Chloe in there. After explaining what we were doing, I was dragged over to the coat hanger on the wall next to the door.
“What are we doing?” I asked confused after Chloe threw my jacket at me.
“We are going shopping of course!” Cassandra replied.
LATER ON BACK IN ROOM 3 WITH THE GIRLS
“And now, may I present the beautiful…SCARLET!!” Leah announced whilst everyone else was on the bed, apart from Scarlet and Leah, of course. Moving aside, Leah revealed Scar looking amazing for her date.

Chapter 3
A knock at the door made everyone snap their heads in the direction. As usual, the first one to make a move was Chloe as she ran to the door. When she turned back around, they noticed no one was standing at the door but instead Chloe was holding a bunch of Red Roses with a note attached to them.
"Oh My God!" Scarlet screamed and scooped the flowers up, "To Scarlet, i hope you like the roses, i saw them and they reminded me of you straight away. Meet me on the rooftop in 5. Love You, Jake x," Scarlet read out loud.
"AWW!!" The girls said and smiled happily at Scarlet who was beaming. Scarlet ran over to her chest of drawers next to her bed and placed the flowers in her glass full of water. Turning around, Scarlet gave them one last grin and ran out the door.
On The Rooftop
Scarlets POV
When i reached the top of the neverending stairs, i looked around in amazement. There were roses spread out everywhere and a blanket on the dry ground, full of food. Standing next to the edge of the roof, was Jake.
"Come here," Jake beckoned, waving his hand towards him. Grinning, i walked over to him. When i was next to him, he wrapped his arms around me and we stared out at the stars.
"Hungry?" Jake asked, looking at me. Speechless, i nodded my head as we walked over to the picnic he had set out.
"It's Beautiful," I managed, breathless.
"So are you," Jake replied, beaming at her. They both sat down and began to eat. After they had finished eating, they went back over to the edge of the roof and stared again at the star-filled sky.
"It's perfect," I said, looking towards him.
"So are you," Jake answered and bent his head towards mine. Just as our lips were about to meet, my mobile began to ring. Sighing, i pulled back and dug my hand into my handbag. Sending an opologetic look at jake i flipped my phone open.
"Yes?" I answered impatiently.
"Sorry! Mr Marks told me to tell you that we are going on a trip tomorrow in the woods. Mr M said we all have to get to bed reeeeeally early because we are going at 4 in the morning," Leah explained breathless.
"URG! stupid Marks! I'll be there in a few," I growled and flipped my phone shut.
"Looks like got to get going," I said, turning back towards Jake. Before i could turn away, Jake pulled me towards him and our lips met. I felt an eletric shock when our skin met. Reluctantly, we pulled away, beaming.
"See Ya Tomorrow," I said and turned away.
IN THE GIRLS ROOM
"So why are we going caving?" I asked as soon as i entered our room. Everyone rushed over to me, throwing questions at me.
"How was it?"
"Did You kiss?"
"What happened?"
"What was it like?!"
"Okay, okay calm down!" i replied breathlessly. i walked over to my bed, pull my PJ's on and got in bed. Grinning, i fell into a long, sweet dream.
"SCARLET! UP!!" I opened my eyes to see Cassie towering above me. I rolled out of bed unhappily and looked through my suitcase for clothes. I finally decided on my black short shorts, black tights, ugg boots and my black top that says "Rock Angel" on the front. After getting changed, we met up with the others in the hall where everyone was eating. Grumpily, i walked over to the start of the line and got some toast. After getting my food, i walked over to the table that the girls were sat at (apparant from jessica thank god) and i plonked myself onto an empty chair. After everyone had finished eating, Mr M stood up and led us into the corridor and out the door. When we entered the woods, it was surprisingly dark for 4:30 in the morning. I looked towards Sophie, who i noticed, kept looknig towards Stephen. I smiled to myself and carried on walking forwards. Suddenly, i heard a shriek and my head snapped towards the sound. I noticed a ditch in the ground and i ran over to the edge. Carefully, glancing into the hollow ground, i noticed Aimee's bright eyes looking upwards. i sat down next to the ditch and reached my hand in to help her out. Surprised, i felt something grip my wrist which didnt feel like a hand and i was falling into the darkness below.
"Scarlet! Leah!" i heard someone shout.
"HELP!!!!" Leah screamed. She was sitting next to me with a panicked expression.
"Dont worry, i'm okay," I said and tried to sit up. Immediately, the world began spinning and i put my hands to my head. i drew back when i felt something sticky on my fingers, blood. I felt dizzy and weak.
"SCARLET!!!!" Leah shrieked as i lost conciousness and fell back. A while later, i heard voices around me and i opened my eyes to see the other surrounding me, in the ditch.
"Finally!" Jamie said impatiently. I felt myself my arm fall downwards and i screamed.
"Whats wrong!" Jake yelled and pulled me onto his lap. After noticing my wrist, he held it carefully, exmining it.
"What do you think could've done this?" Jake asked, looking towards Mr M. Mr M kneeled down next to him to get a closed look.
"i'm not sure. Maybe we should start trying to get out," he answered after a while.
"Wait! look!" Sophie shouted and one of her legs dissapeared through the gap in the earth.
"It looks like a cave! Maybe theres a way out!" She sed and slid her other leg down the hole, the rest of her body following. Chloe rushed over to the hole to look for her sister.
"Soph!" Chloe shouted, panicked.
"Dont worry! I'm fine! Come on," Came the reply from below the hole. Chloe copied her sister and slid into the hole. Soon after, Jamie shrugged and followed them down.
Aimee's POV
It felt odd sitting in the ditch waiting for something to happen, but i knew the only way to get out was going down the hole. Cutiously, i crawled over to the hole and slid my leg down. Soon, my whole body was slidind through a narrow downward cave. I hadn't imagined it to be like this. I screamed in shock as i gained speed. My stomach flipped. I instantly regretted going down the hole. But i had to, for my friends sake.
Cassandra's POV
Jumping into action, Jamie ran over to the hole and slid down as soon as Aimee's scream had been heard. I rushed to my feet and followed. I couldnt stop myself from screaming as my body slid into the never ending hole. The wind whipped my face like dozens of hands clawing at me. The hole was dark and narrow. I was terrified that when it stopped there would be a giant lake at the bottom full of sharks and whats even worse, is that i can't swim. I never have been able to swim and i dreaded the thought of water being at the end, if there was an end.
Scarlet's POV
The screams from my friends made my blood chill. I glanced towards Mr Marks.
"I can't let them go down there on their own but i cant leave you guys up here on your own either. So i want you lot to get down that hole!" Mr Marks informed us and he helped me up. I saw down next to the hole, my legs dangling into the darkness. I gulped, terrified of what was down there. I looked at Jake and met his eyes.
"Sir, could i go down with her? That way, i can make sure she doesnt hurt herself anymore than she is already hurt," Jake asked, looking pleadingly at Mr M. The teacher sighed and nodded his head. Jake sat down next to me and pulled me onto his lap. As soon as i was on his lap, we plunged into the darkness.
Leah's POV
I looked at the spot where my sister had been just seconds ago. I ran over to the hole and slid down quickly without a second thought. I closed my eyes tight as the darkness closed in on me and my screams echoed.
NO POV
Chris then walked over to the hole. He looked at Stephen, Aaron, Jessica and Mr M as he too dissapeared into the darkness. Aaron and Stephen looked at each other.
"I'll go first," Stephen offered and strode over to the gap. He looked down into the darkness and slid downhill. As soon as stephen was gone, aaron felt a chill and he shivered. He looked at Mr Marks who nodded towards him and he crawled over to the hole. Without looking down, he slid down the hole, the last thing he saw was Mr Marks worried face.Mr Marks looked at Jessica, forcing her to go down the hole. Witha stuck-up sigh she walked over to the gap and slid down. Mr Marks then walked over to the hole in the ground. He sat next to it, his legs disapearing into the dark beneath him. He took a deep breath and followed the other into the lurking shadows below.
